About afterthestormmusic
Formed in December of 2004, After the Storm has come a long way in a very short period of time. Their sound is warm and inviting, familiar and yet original. Their music conveys a universal message of peace, faith, hope and redemption for listeners of all ages and backgrounds without sounding contrived or preachy. Their debut was recorded over the summer of 2005 and will be available soon through their website or at any of their upcoming shows. So far they have performed in Colorado, Utah, and California with dates to be announced in Nevada, Washington, and Brazil. Response to these performances has been overwhelmingly positive, so be sure to catch them when you can as they work to share their experiences and music with the world. |

After Clouds Sun
By James C. Christensen
This image is the sequel, if you will, to the 1994 print "Sometimes the Spirit Touches Us Through Our Weaknesses.” Christensen says, “The hump is his burden. We all have burdens. The angel touches that symbol of his weakness to remind us that most growth comes through dealing with adversity. If you pray for strength, God sends you a set of weights. That work shows a hunchback, an Everyman, being visited by an angel and receiving the message that we grow through adversity -- we can make our weaknesses into strengths. The hunchback had been seated on a box inscribed with a Latin phrase that translates literally as "after clouds, sun" -- the equivalent of "look for the silver lining." In this image, the same character, lifted skyward by the spirit, smiles as he sees that lining. His burden, like all of ours, will be lightened.
